Celebrate National Breastfeeding Week. For nursing Families to celebrate breast/chestfeeding together. Light refreshments, door prizes and tips from Public Health Nurses.

We will be joining together on October 1st from 2-5:30 pm to celebrate Breastfeeding though education, games, individual and collective crafts, trivia activities, treats, prizes and selfie booths. For all participants of the St. Mary's Home/Maison Sainte Marie Organization (must be pregnant or parenting, under the age of 30 with a child under the age of 6). Call to register.

Hosted by The Kings County Family Resource Centre. The challenge is to have the highest number of Breastfeeding Mothers latching on at the same time. This is a global challenge to raise awareness and to support breastfeeding families. Registration will begin at 1030am and we will latch on at 1100am, along with communities all over the world! We will be serving snacks and there will be a door prize. Invite your friends, we hope that you can make it!

BCCH Breastfeeding Challenge- "latch on" This event is for families in BCCH only.

Join us for Breastfeeding Awareness Week to increase visibility and support of Breastfeeding! Hosted in a public space at the library we will celebrate breast/chestfeeding families by participating in a Latch-on Event. Door prizes and light refreshments will be provided and a Public Health Nurse will be present to offer support/advice.

At BC Women's Hospital, Vancouver the LC service will be going room to room starting at 10am October 6th visiting breastfeeding families. A child's book plus information will be provided to each family & a count of breastfeeding moms & babies tallied. This will include our NICU. This is an event for in hospital families only.

A community event where breastfeeding families come together to celebrate and support breastfeeding. The event will be held at the courtenay library and there will be food and prizes.

A fun and supportive event to celebrate breastfeeding families and the importance of community support. This event will take place at our local library and participants will have an opportunity connect with each other and learn about community resources. This is a celebration for all parents and recognizing each persons personal journey. Our goal is to strengthen community support and help families feel empowered in their feeding choices. There will be food and prizes and a lot of fun.

During our monthly in person breastfeeding support group we will invite families to participate in the latch on challenge on October 7,2026

A fun event in support of National Breastfeeding Week aimed to acknowledge and celebrate breastfeeding in a fun way that is shared with community members. We have food and donations from local businesses that will make this event even more exciting.

The Synchronised Breastfeeding Event is a nationwide initiative dedicated to raising awareness about the importance and benefits of breastfeeding for mothers, babies, families, and society. Taking place simultaneously in four towns across Cyprus, this special event brings communities together in a united show of support for breastfeeding and maternal health. Held under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and the Cyprus National Breastfeeding Committee, the event aims to promote a breastfeeding-friendly culture, provide evidence-based information, and celebrate the journey of motherhood. Participants will include new mothers, expectant mothers, healthcare professionals, breastfeeding support volunteers, and community members who share a commitment to supporting breastfeeding and early childhood wellbeing. Through collective participation, education, and shared experiences, the event seeks to strengthen awareness, empower families, and highlight the importance of support networks that enable mothers to breastfeed successfully. By bringing together families, professionals, and volunteers in synchronised gatherings across the island, the event symbolises unity, encouragement, and a shared commitment to giving every child the healthiest start in life.
